Meg Nunn Salver event update - Please note the Meg Nunn Salver 2023 event has been postponed.

The Meg Nunn Salver is an Inter-District Matchplay Event - a competition contested annually by the seven Districts of Queensland – Far North Queensland, North Queensland, Central Queensland/Central Highlands, Sunshine Coast Burnett & District, Downs & South West, Gold Coast District and Brisbane & District.

Each team consists of 6 players. Maximum handicap for the event is 16 and full handicaps apply. State Squad members, Q.A.S players and Junior players are not eligible for selection.

As full handicap allowance applies, the players selected are not necessarily those with the lowest handicaps in the District as venues and local conditions will influence the spread of the handicaps of the players selected.

As a guide, a player’s past history, and performances in Pennant matches has a large bearing on selection and a player’s win/loss record for the season is taken into account. The handicap of players’ opponents will also be taken into consideration in their win/loss record. Participation in BDLGA scheduled tournaments and championships is also taken into consideration.

The event was not played in 2020 or 2021.

In 2022 this event will be hosted by Downs & South West District and played at Middle Ridge Golf Club from 4th-8th September.
