The  Brisbane  and District  Ladies’  Golf  Association (BDLGA) is a  non-profit  organisation dedicated to fostering, encouraging and promoting golf for women and junior girls  throughout  the  clubs in the  district. Fundamental  to the  charter of the  organisation is ensuring opportunities  for women and junior girls  to enjoy the camaraderie  of other golfers  through the  tournaments, competitions  and intra-state  challenges  offered.

The  BDLGA is  a  member of the  Australian golf sports  body, Golf  Australia, Queensland Division.  Through this  association, member clubs  in the  district  gain affiliation and enjoy the benefits  of programs, funding and services  available.

The  Management  Committee  is  elected at  the  Annual  General Meeting of the  association.  This  committee  is  responsible  for the administration and management  of the  association’s  affairs  and funds.

The  BDLGA offers  opportunities  for its  members  from  every club in the  district  to meet  and interact  with each other in regular tournaments, Pennants  and special  events  which are  held annually.

The  Management  Committee  also acts  as  a  point  of contact  for all  handicapping queries  and generally works  together for the benefit  of all  of its  member women and junior golfers.
