2009 Club Committee Workshop
Wolston Park Golf Club - Friday July 24
What a great day this turned out to be!
As this was the first day we had attempted a workshop of this kind, we were a little unsure of how things would run but a number of the ladies approached the committee afterwards and thanked us for putting the day together.
Actually, that was really all we did - arrange the venue, some lunch and morning tea (mmm... best scones in town) and a very general agenda, but it was the input that came through from the many and varied questions that the ladies all put forward, that helped make the day a success.
All feedback afterwards, indicated we should continue this each year. You actually get more time to talk about anything and everything than can be fitted in on a general meeting day where we have to move on to the next item to get things finished in a couple of hours.
This workshop day was much more relaxed and informal.
Our thanks especially to the ladies at Wolston Park, especially Mel, for hosting the day for us - the venue was great - sitting out on the verandah in the sun for lunch was delightful! We'll probably come back here next year! Thank you again.
Our thanks also to Abby Driver from Golf Queensland, for what the ladies have said was a very informative and easy to understand session on the new course rating and handicapping systems coming in.
We hope you all enjoyed!
